Silly Hats

Hi everyone yet again! ( I KNOW!!! TWICE IN ONE MONTH!!!)
I just want to give praise and thanks to all who have made and keep making little sweet things for my daughter. I just want to show them to the world! So....here I go! Oh, and some other silly photos along the way.

This is a hat that my friend Jean B. made for Evy, I love it's eggplanty goodness!

Here is the apple hat that I made for her waaaay back when...

Breakfast for two! Gotta get her going with some strong coffee in the morning, otherwise she just sleeeeeeps alllllll daaaaay!

Here is a sweater that my dear Betty B made for Evy. It zips up the back! The booties were made by my great aunt Wanda as were the yellow and multi-colored blankets.

Here are some bags that I've made. The leather strap one is from "In Stitches." The lotus bag is an Amy Butler fabric and design. The turtle bag is a diaper/beach bag made with turtle fabric I picked up in Hawaii last month. The pattern is from "Boutique Baby." I figure if Jordan has to drag around a bag it shouldn't be as frilly as mine and later we can use it as a beach bag. It has sooo many pockets!

Okay and finally, here is an apron that I made for my friend Jean. I think it turned out so damn cute! The pics don't do it enough justice but there were limited ways to try to display it in my house.

It has been a busy month for sewing projects and playing with my girl. She plays with toys now and can roll onto her side. She's been smiling since about week five and they just keep coming! She sleeps mostly thru the night although last week she caught a little cold and has been hard to please at night. She's feeling better and I'm hoping that her brag-able nights continue soon. She's 24 inches long and twelve and a half pounds, so she's right at where she's supposed to be.
Well, I hear her waking from a little nap. She's been putting herself to sleep about once a day lately without having to be rocked or nursed and so I can tell she's starting to bloom back to life so I best go enjoy some playtime before we get too deep into the evening.

Lots of love to you all, and have a great holiday!

Handmade

It's time to share some of the hand made gifts Evy has received!
This first green hat, my friend Tai made. I love the picot edge! This is an adorable hat that she's sadly just outgrown. The little hearts have been stretched to their limits. Beautiful hat though. There were booties to match too that she can still fit into. Great outfit Tai!

This outfit was made by KungfuBambini.com, by my friend Violet. Thank you Jill and Jeff for checking them out. I have a few other outfits from her that won't fit till next month...I can't wait. Also, Violet just opened up her own storefront in Portland Oregon, called appropriately, "Violet." Go check them out. Directions are on www.KungfuBambini.com. Koodos Violet! You do beautiful work.

This is a hat that I made for Evy early in my pregnancy. It is a style that I saw my friend Gabi make for another friend and I just had to give it a whirl. Plus, I got to make pom poms...YAY!

This is a bonnet and blanket set my great Aunt Wanda made. She is my Meemaw's sister. She crochets and is learning to knit. This is my favorite blanky for Evy. I love the sweet pink and the shell pattern. The bonnet's pretty cute too, no? She also sent along other blankets and a dozen pairs of booties! So, there should be more photos to come!

This is a hooded blanket that I made for Evy last week. My friend Angela showed me the finished product of what she had made from my Amy Butler book of patterns for little kids, so I HAD to give it a try, it was so cute! It's lined with a sage colored fleece and it's so yummy.

Okay, and finally, this is the Yoda outfit I made for Evy this year. It is all knit. The hat has been felted. The sweater is a kimono style sweater, and I just looove it. I want to make more for when she's bigger, but I thought it came together just perfectly for this outfit. I also printed and ironed on the saying "cute I am" to a tee-shirt for her, and idea from my friend Teresa. I also printed one that said "Change me you will!" an idea from John and Heather C.

Well, that's about all I've got pictures of. I made another one of those hooded blankets and also a diaper bag. I'll have to see about getting pictures today during nap time. It's time to get back to it! Thanks for checking in!
